Sonny McElligott is a professional fighter from a family where sport runs deep. His dad boxed professionally, and Sonny started boxing at 14 with one goal: to become British champion, the title his dad always wanted.

Since turning professional in 2025, he has had three fights. An early defeat came while he was dealing with several personal issues, and it has only made him hungrier.

He fights to prove people wrong, and to prove to himself that he can beat the best. In his words: “We all bleed the same. If they can do it, why can’t I?”
